It is time we return to the Puklavec family wines, as there is a particular wine we’re setting on to taste tonight. We’ll be looking at one of their recent additions to the prestigious line of wines, a special cuvée of five varieties that matured in oak.
34 is a cuvée of Chardonnay, Riesling, Furmint, Sauvignon blanc and Pinot gris. A unique selection of some of the best plots is used to produce this prestigious wine that expresses an incredible balance of varietal aromatics with oak impacted scents.
It presents with a cristal clear, golden yellow colour with dense viscosity.
Aromas are refined, intense. We notice yellow plum, baked apple, papaya, and scents of beeswax, vanilla and candied lemon peel. Gradually a hint of thyme and hot stone expresses from the background.
The taste is soft, with moderate alcohols that are nicely refreshed by crisp acidity, leaving us to mineral reflections. An intense, full-bodied wine with pronounced elegance and lasting persistency.
A wine for contemplation, but at the same time a wine for gastronomy. A bottle will cost you approximately 20 Eur, and you can order it at Koželj.
