It is time we return to the Bordon family, as we have another wine to look at. We will be tasting their Merlot, which is marked by maturation in oak.

The Bordon family cultivates all of their vineyards according to organic farming principles. Grapes are hand-harvested exclusively with destemming and crushing. After maceration at controlled temperatures and gentle pressing, the juice is racked into barriques, where it matures for two years. Conducting also malolactic fermentation.

It shows a deep, ruby red colour with accentuated density. The aromas are intense and present roasted cherries, blackberries, even a hint of mulberry. At the same time, we perceive scents of cinnamon, chocolate and tobacco, and at the end, a touch of smoke.

Pronounced softness with well-integrated alcohols. With a good measure of freshness and tannins that indicate its youthful character. A vigorous, elegant and long-lasting wine that will pamper your sensations as a well-crafted Merlot that has been produced with really ripe berries.

A wine that can age for seven and more years which will only help him further evolve its elegance. A bottle will cost you approximately 25 Eur, and you can order it at Okusi Istre.
