Time to look at a rather unique, sweet wine coming from the Pullus wine cellar. A wine bearing the name 777 symbolising the years of the establishment of the Minorite monastery in Ptuj, setting an uninterrupted tradition of winemaking in this city.

The wine has been produced peculiarly, and if you notice in the title, there’s no vintage attached to it. It is because it assembles several vintages of different wines – the 2009, 2013 and 2015 combining Riesling, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Yellow muscat, each contributing its distinctive imprint.

The final wine blends in wines that have been produced with protective vinification methods, then passitio or better Vin de Paille style and finally with a selection of botrytised grapes, or as it might sound more familiar, an Auslese style.

This results in a crystal clear, golden yellow coloured wine with an oily texture.

Its bouquet is intense luscious and heralds spring, white rose, lily of the valley, nutmeg, white peach, notes of floral honey, candied citruses and sweet tropical fruit.

The taste is sweet, soft and combining enough freshness and minerality to balance the sensations in the mouth. An intense wine with a reasonable structure and a persistent, elegant taste emanating flavours of white flowers, honey and candied lemon zest.

A bottle will cost you approximately 23,80 Eur, and it is available at their online shop.
