Radgonske Gorice - Zlata radgonska penina, brut nature 2015
Let’s head back to the Radgonske Gorice wine cellar tonight, as we will have a taste of their Golden Radgonska Penina produced by using Chardonnay grapes and following methodé traditionnelle production processes.
A Blanc de Blancs produced with selected grapes grown on the sunny Radgonske hills that extend between 250 and 350 meters above sea level. The cellar is a negociant that buys grapes from local winemakers and produces several expressions of both sparkling and still wines. The basic wine re-ferments in the bottle and matures on lees for a total of 60 months before being disgorged.
This results in a Penina with a brilliant and extractive, golden yellow colour, showing numerous, delicate and persistent bubbles.
The bouquet is intense and expensive. We notice ripe apple, carambola, lemon blossom and tangerine, that are evolving into gentle notes of pandoro and butter with a touch of toasted nuts in the finish.
An brut nature expression par excellence! Bone dry, with gentle softness, yet a refreshing character where acidity intricates with its minerality. The wine is intense and long-lasting, and above all, sophisticatedly elegant.
A bottle will cost you approximately 16,50 Eur, and you can order it at Koželj and Jezeršek.
