Let’s return to the Moro winery tonight to have a look at their premium red blend consisting of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, which aged in barrels.

We’re looking at a wine here that is inspired by the, we could say, famed right bank, and we have quite a nectar here. A blend of 70 % Merlot and 30 % Cabernet Franc where each variety is vinified separately with a focus on boosting extraction and structure. It undergoes a two-year maturation in French barrique barrels, also conducting malolactic fermentation before being bottled.

This results in a deep, ruby red wine with pronounced viscosity, as indicated by thick, slowly slipping tears.

The bouquet is seductive. We notice scents of ripe marasca, raspberries, blueberry jam and violet. Hints of red pepper introduce vanilla, leather, eucalyptus and mint, while its finish reflects a tone of leather.

Margherita is a wine with an intense and soft taste, with beautifully incorporated alcohols balanced by freshness and rounding tannins. An elegant wine with a vigorous body and lasting, elegant persistency.

A wine with the potential to age for the next seven years and more. To get a bottle and try it yourself, you should contact the winemaker at +386 51 604 649.
