Time to introduce a new producer here. Tonight we’ll be moving to Karst, to a small village named Ravnje, where the family Sanabor crafts sparkling and still wines. Though, if you ask me, still wines are fine, but their sparkling wines are out of this world!
Lucidia is one of their recent sparklers, as it came to the market as their last labels added to the repertoire. It consists of 70 % Rebula and 30 % Chardonnay, which is quite atypical for the region where their cellar is home. Usually, it was produced as a millesime of 2015 and introduced in 2017, but here, I couldn’t find any vintage notions.
Lucidia introduces to us with brilliant, golden-yellow colour with many delicate and relatively durable beads. The intense bouquet reveals dried yellow fruit, citrus peel, almonds, nuts, bread crust and butter notes.
A bone dry sparkling wine, with an intensely refreshing and mineral taste, just the proper structure and persistency, but above all an elegant character that simply calls for more.
To get a bottle it is best to send an e-mail to info@vinasanabor.si or call the winemaker at +386 51 619 204.
